Repeated Sin Problems Workbook
Have you ever wondered why so many people struggle with repeated sin problems? I believe it’s because they don’t get down to the root of what is causing the problem. It’s like mowing down weeds, you mow them down, but they come back in a few weeks. To permanently get rid of weeds you have to dig them up by the root.
Since the Garden of Eden mankind has had the same enemy, it is Satan who is also the enemy of God. Satan is called the father of lies, and since the Garden of Eden he has been lying to God’s people. God knew Adam and Eve had been listening to Satan; He asked them, “Who told you that you were naked?”
Satan was a sneaky snake in the Garden of Eden and he is still sneaking around trying to deceive God’s people today. He deceived Adam and Eve, and he tries to deceive you, so you will sin too. God’s Word “is a lamp unto our feet and a light onto our path,” (Psalm 119:105). Use the lamp and you will be able to see the sneaky snake in the grass.
God’s Word have I hid in my heart that I might not sin against Him. Psalm 119:11
We must have God’s Word hidden in our heart so we are not tricked by Satan our enemy. When “we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us of all unrighteousness,” (1 John 1:9).
What do you do if you have a repeated sin problem? You must look deep to find the root cause, see if the enemy has deceived you.
